Scholarship Overview
Uversity Scholarships were established in 2018 to provide financial support to Adult Learners/Mature Students wishing to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree for the first time in many of the Higher Education Institutes on the island of Ireland.
Since its inception, Uversity has provided funding to nearly 330 Scholars. To date 99 Mature Students have graduated from their degrees with the support of Uversity, many of whom have graduated with 1st Class Honours.
Our Graduates have gone on to pursue careers in Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Digital Marketing, and Teaching, to name just a few.
We are delighted to advise that the 2026-2027 scholarships is open for applications on the 1st of February 2026 and will remain open until the 31st of March 2026!
Funding
€5,000 per annum – no dependent children
€7,000 per annum – dependent children
Programming & Workshops
In addition to the financial support provided, Uversity’s Scholarships also include access to online workshops, each year covering both academia and career development.
Topics include:
- Essay writing and referencing
- Presentation Skills
- Practical tools for 3rd level students
- Interviewing and CV building
To be eligible applicants must be:
- At least 23 years by 1st January in the year of enrolment
- A citizen of an EU/EEA member state, Switzerland or have leave to remain in the Irish State
- Resident on the island of Ireland for 3 out of the last 5 years
- Applying, have applied or have been admitted to commence bachelor’s degree in one of Uversity’s participating institutions for the 2026/2027 academic year.
- Able to demonstrate a financial need that cannot be met by Government supports or personal/family income.
Applicants who have already received or are currently enrolled a Bachelor’s Degree ARE NOT ELIGIBLE.
