- GreentechHQ MOU signed September 2024 - SETU has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with GreenTech HQ, Ireland’s first Sustainability Innovation Hub, supporting both organisations' commitment to sustainability, innovation, business, and community engagement. SETU and GreenTech story - Unesco chair for Sustainable Lifestyles – The UNESCO Chairs Programme mobilizes expertise of higher education and research institutions to address the interdependent challenges of today’s increasingly complex world. SETU joined as an institutional member of the International Partner Network of the UNESCO Chair on Education for Sustainable Lifestyles for the four-year period of 01.01.2025 to 31.12.2028. as part of efforts to promote and strengthen education and learning for sustainable development.
Unesco chair - UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) membership - SETU was accepted as a full member of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Ireland in 2024, an all-island network which connects to almost 2,000 member institutions around the world, supporting capacity building for the local implementation of SDGs in higher education. As the world's largest knowledge network for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the UN SDSN works under the auspices of the UN Secretary-General to mobilize the world's universities, think tanks, and national laboratories to identify and develop global and local solutions for action on the world's most critical sustainable development challenges.
