Welcome to the Department of Education at SETU, the leading provider in the southeast of Ireland of initial teacher education and continuing professional development (CPD) programmes to teachers and educators in primary, post-primary, community education and development, further education and training (FET) and higher education. Our portfolio has a range of postgraduate programmes including the MA in Management in Education (MAME), the Master of Education (MEd), and postgraduate diplomas in Teaching in Further Education (Teaching Council–recognised). Our undergraduate programmes range from levels 6 to 8 in Adult Literacy; Adult and Further Education; Community Education and Development and Social Enterprise Management. These educational programmes are informed by our impactful research priorities which contribute to policy and strategic initiatives at regional, national, European, and international levels.
