Funding Your Postgraduate Study

Funding is a major factor in planning postgraduate study, but many supports and opportunities exist. With early planning and awareness of available options, you can find programmes that ease financial pressure and make postgraduate study more manageable.

Postgraduate Funding SUSI Supports

Students enrolling in a postgraduate programme at SETU may be eligible for financial support through the national student grant scheme, administered by SUSI. For many considering further study, funding is an important factor, and the SUSI scheme offers a range of supports designed to ease the cost of postgraduate education.

Depending on your reckonable household income, you may qualify for either a postgraduate fee contribution or a postgraduate fee grant. Eligible students can receive a fee contribution of up to €4,500, or a fee grant of up to €6,270, which may also include a maintenance grant.

Applying for a SUSI grant is straightforward. New applicants can create an account on the SUSI website and complete the online application form, which covers personal details, residency, course information, household income and dependent family members. Before applying, ensure you have relevant PPSNs and income details ready. Visit www.susi.ie for more information.
