Your Right to Know: Freedom of Information at SETU

At SETU, we believe in openness, accountability, and the public’s right to access information. Under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act, anyone can request recorded information we hold—from governance policies to financial data, and more. As a public institution, we’re committed to helping you understand how decisions are made, how resources are used, and how the university operates day to day.

Making Information Accessible and Well-Managed

The functions of the unit are to ensure organisational compliance with the university’s obligations under the Freedom of Information Act (FOI) 2014. Its role is also to advise the university in the management of university records in keeping with best practice. Provision of information, assistance, and training to staff is also a responsibility of the Unit.
