Springboard funds courses up to 1 year that are very broadly open to people resident in Ireland / EU for 3 out of last 5 years. Funding for employed people is typically 90% of standard fee with unemployed/returners fully-funded.
SUSI Funding for Part-time Undergraduate
SUSI funding is available for a prescribed list of part-time Higher-Certificates, Ordinary Degrees and Honours Degrees. Funding is subject to a means test but for those eligible it can potentially mean a fully-funded part-time higher education award.
Micro-credential Learner Fee Subsidy (LFS)
The Micro-credential Fee Subsidy Scheme is a new scheme in 2026. It is now open for applications and will fund courses from 5 - 20 credits up to 80% and with broad eligibility. More detail will follow when the scheme announced. You can learn more about this funding scheme here.
Skillnet
Various Skillnets part-fund several SETU courses. Rates vary but frequently 50%. Skillnet funding only available to employees in non public service jobs and funding must come through the employer.
