SETU marketing awards recognise students’ success at ceremony in Granville Hotel

The winners of SETU's Marketing Student of the Year awards 2026 were announced on Friday, 15 May in the Granville Hotel at the annual awards ceremony. These awards acknowledge excellence of final year students studying Marketing at SETU in Waterford.

Overall winners

The Student of the Year winners were Libby Collie (BA (Hons) in Marketing & Digital Media) and Leah Quinlan (Bachelor of Business (Hons) – Marketing specialisation), who are both from Waterford city.

Libby Collie and Leah Quinlan each spoke individually on acceptance of their awards, paying tribute to family, friends and their marketing lecturers at SETU for their help and support over the past four years.

Granville support over the years

The Cusack family, proprietors of the Granville Hotel have been sponsoring these awards since they began more than 30 years ago. At the ceremony Ann Cusack stated: "The Granville Hotel is delighted to be associated with SETU and the leaders in marketing in the South East. Our long-standing relationship with SETU was enhanced this year with the final year marketing students completing an impressive digital marketing strategy for the Granville Hotel.”

Ann continued, “On behalf of Liam and I, we would like to congratulate the award recipients and SETU marketing students, and wish them the best of luck in their future careers.”

Proud of achievements

Dr Patricia Bowe, Head of Department, Faculty of Business, SETU, welcomed students and their families, along with SETU marketing lecturers to the ceremony. Dr Bowe said, “The Faculty of Business is delighted to be here again with the Cusack family who have been involved in hosting these awards for 31 years. Their support is immeasurable we hope that this relationship will continue in the future.”
