Micro-credential Learner Fee Subsidy scheme
The Micro-credential Learner Fee Subsidy scheme (LFS) was introduced in May 2026. It funds courses from 5 - 20 credits up to 80% and with broad eligibility. Students can take up to 3 funded courses.
Eligibility for the Funding
Eligibility for these 80% - funded Microcreds is similar to Springboard Eligibility. Applicants must:
- hold a valid PPS Number;
- live full-time in the Republic of Ireland;
- be EU / EEA / UK / Swiss passport holders;
- have lived in the EU / EEA / UK / Switzerland for 3 full years out of
previous 5 years.
