SETU students from courses in computer games programming and cybercrime and IT security, Vladyslav Sharapov, Vladyslav Amelin, and Andrii Russkykh, won the RoboCode competition at TUS Thurles.
SETU competed among teams from across other universities, TU Dublin, Technological University of the Shannon and Mid-west, University of Limerick, and Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board.
The University's team tied for first in the league stage winning six of seven battles. They also won a three-way tie-breaker to be placed first, allowing them to fight fourth place UL in the semi-final. After which they defeated Limerick and Clare Education Training Board in the final.

Another SETU team including Aimee Kelly, Kianna Croke, and Karla Lucic, coached by Siobhan Roche, narrowly missed out on the semi-finals by one point and won the play-off for fifth place.
