Celebrating 40 years of Construction Management Education at SETU

South East Technological University is delighted to announce an upcoming Construction Management alumni event, bringing together graduates from across the decades to reconnect, reflect and celebrate a proud educational legacy.

Construction Management at Waterford has a unique place in Irish higher education history. Originally established at Waterford Regional Technical College in 1986, the programme evolved through Waterford Institute of Technology and now forms a cornerstone of SETU in Waterford. Notably, it was the first Construction Management degree in Ireland, and over the years has produced in excess of 1,000 graduates who have gone on to shape the construction sector nationally and internationally.

This event will provide an opportunity for alumni to:

• Reconnect with classmates and staff
• Share professional experiences and insights
• Engage with current students and future graduates
• Revisit SETU's Cork Road campus
• Connect with the wider Construction Management alumni network
• Contribute to the future development of the Construction Management course
• Celebrate the impact of Construction Management education at SETU
