South East Technological University (SETU) warmly congratulates Professor Peter Hines, Visiting Professor affiliated with SETU’s Faculty of Business, on being ranked among the top 10 researchers in Ireland in Business and Management by Research.com. Professor Hines is currently ranked number 9.

A member of SETU’s BRIM RIKON Research Centre, Professor Hines is also a Visiting Professor with the Lean Industry 4.0 Digital Academy (LI4 DAC). Through this role, he contributes to research capacity at SETU, including supervising a PhD researcher, and assigns his publications to the University, strengthening its research profile.

As one of the founders of global research in lean industry, his work spans key areas such as lean manufacturing, digital transformation, supply chain resilience, and organisational behaviour. His research is widely recognised for its practical relevance, particularly in helping organisations integrate lean principles with emerging Industry 4.0 technologies.

The Research.com ranking is based on citation data and discipline-specific impact, providing a focused view of leading researchers in Business and Management.
