South East Technological University (SETU) is proud to partner with the Waterford International Film Festival for this year’s event, highlighting regional creativity and innovation.
Festival screenings at SETU College Street Campus
As part of the collaboration, SETU’s College Street Campus in Waterford city will host two blocks of short film screenings on Saturday, 15 November, featuring works by local, national, and international filmmakers.

Tickets for SETU College Street Campus screenings must be purchased in advance.
The screenings at the SETU College Campus showcase a range of works, primarily from debut and student filmmakers, with select films by established professionals. This mix offers a unique chance for emerging talent to view professional work, and for seasoned filmmakers to engage with fresh voices.
Festival highlights
In addition to the College Street Campus screenings, the main festival events will be held at the House of Waterford Crystal, featuring networking mixers, film screenings, and the annual awards ceremony. These in-person events will take place on Saturday and Sunday, 15 and 16 November, with online screenings of selected finalists and award winners available on the Éiretainment platform from 16-22 November.

Free festival closing event
The festival closing event will take place at 8pm on Sunday, 16 November at The Reg, Waterford city. This social event will also include a special screening of restored Betty Boo and 1940s Superman cartoons.
