South East Technological University (SETU) is delighted to host Green Week 2026, a celebration of sustainability and environmental action, taking place across all campuses from Monday, 02 March to Friday, 06 March. Organised by SETU Sustainable Development Office, Green Campus teams, academic departments, staff, and students, Green Week is a university-wide initiative promoting environmental awareness and sustainable action across the University community.
Join us for inspiring talks, hands-on workshops, and eco-friendly initiatives that empower you to make a difference. Whether it’s taking part in the Marchathon Step Challenge, learning about biodiversity, attending a wind power workshop, or joining a clothes swap, every action counts! Let’s work together for a more sustainable future - get involved and be the change!

Monday, 02 March

Info: Explore the “Earth in the Age of AI” poster exhibition and discover how artificial intelligence intersects with environmental challenges. Gain insights into sustainable solutions and the role of technology in shaping a greener future. This exhibition has been designed and created by SETU Carlow students from BSc Digital Marketing and Analytics (Year 1) and BA Content Creation and Social Media (Year 2) as part of their Creative Digital Media module and module assessment.
The posters explore the intersection of artificial intelligence, sustainability, and our planet’s future - offering fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and creative responses from our students. We warmly encourage you to stop by, support their work, and engage with the thought-provoking concepts on display.

- Info: Celebrate World Wildlife Day 2026 and learn 7 ways to take action to protect wildlife and biodiversity. Walk along the access path to the Waterford Greenway to see around 20 bat boxes installed by Dr Andrew Harrington on trees near the West Campus. These bat boxes provide important roosting spaces and support local biodiversity. Take action by reducing waste, planting native species, supporting conservation efforts, and raising awareness about protecting wildlife.
