Dr Antoinette Jordan is an Assistant Lecturer in Business Information Systems in the Faculty of Business, South East Technological University in Ireland. As an interdisciplinary researcher, her expertise combines sociology, political science and computer science in STS and organisation studies. Her research interests combine social policy with digital transformation, most recently in the areas of public services, European affairs and digital education. As a member of Waterford Un/Employment Research Collaborative (WUERC) at SETU she researches the lived experience of the digital transformation of unemployment and was a researcher in funded projects on this topic: the H2020 HECAT project and SFI-funded Future Digital Challenge PESTech project, plus a PhD scholarship from the HECAT project. She is a member of the organising committee for the Digital Education Conference at SETU.
As a EU funding expert, she has held roles as National Contact Point for INTERREG Programmes in Ireland plus Project Manager and Work Package Lead roles in large, interdisciplinary EU-funded research projects across academic, research and public sector environments in Ireland and the UK. Roles included Project Manager for the Lead Partner on the H2020 HECAT project on disruptive technologies in public services at SETU and the FP7 TRANSFORM project on eHealth and patient safety at King's College London. She is open to future funding collaborations for Horizon Europe, New European Bauhaus and INTERREG, particularly in the area of digital transformation, public services, digital education and stakeholder engagement.
She holds a BA in Sociology from University College Cork Ireland, MSc in Computer Science from University of Birmingham UK, MBS in Government from University College Cork-Cork University Business School, Postgraduate Certificate in Data Protection Practice from the Law Society of Ireland and a PhD from the Faculty of Business, South East Technological University Ireland. She is currently undertaking a Certificate in Teaching & Learning at SETU.
