SETU’s annual Marketing Awards took place at the Granville Hotel, Waterford recently, at which several ‘Marketing Commendation’ awards and the prestigious ‘Marketing Student of the Year’ award were announced.
These awards recognise the hard work and dedication of students on the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Marketing and Digital Media, and the Bachelor of Business (Hons) (Marketing) programmes.
Student of the Year
The prestigious ‘Student of the Year’ Award winners were announced at the ceremony, with Shaun Regan, (BA (Hons) in Marketing an Digital Media), and Sinead Power, (BBS (Hons) (Marketing)) taking home the overall awards for their respective programmes.

Thankful
Shaun Regan and Sinead Power each spoke individually on acceptance of their awards, paying tribute to family, friends, fellow students and their marketing lecturers for their help and support during their time studying in SETU.
Granville Hotel sponsorship
The Cusack family, proprietors of the Granville Hotel have been sponsoring these awards for the last 33 years. At the ceremony Fiona Cusack commented: “The Granville Hotel is delighted to be associated with the leaders in marketing in the south east. We have a long-standing relationship with SETU in supporting marketing and business events over the years. A huge thank you to all involved. We would like to congratulate the award recipients and wish them all the best of luck in their marketing careers.”
Crucial support
In his address to the students, Dr Tom O’Toole, Head of School (Dean) of Business at SETU, thanked the Cusack family for their support: “The School of Business is delighted that the Cusack family have been involved in hosting these awards over the years. Their support has been crucial to our marketing graduates, and we hope that this relationship will continue in the future.”
