South East Technological University Governing Body has established a People, Culture & Equality Committee as a committee of the Governing Body to support it in its responsibilities relating to People, Culture and Equality across the University. The Governing Body has appointed Ms Ruth Beadle as Chair of the People, Culture & Equality Committee. The members of the People, Culture & Equality Committee are:
- Ms Ruth Beadle, Chairperson, Governing Body External member
- Mr Jim Bergin, Governing Body external member
- Ms Mary Connaughton, Independent external member
- Mr Hugh Nolan, Independent external member
- Mr David Denieffe, Chief Operations Officer (ex officio)
- Dr Tom O Toole, Head of Faculty nominated by the President
- Dr Paula Rankin, Head of Faculty nominated by the President
The Vice President for People, Culture and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) shall attend meetings of the Committee and shall act as Secretary to the Committee. The Vice President for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion shall also attend Committee meetings.
