About GRAD

The GRAD (Graduate Resource and Development) Programme is an online, self-directed resource designed specifically to meet the needs of postgraduate students at SETU. This comprehensive programme provides a wealth of information to support the academic, practical, personal, and professional development of research students throughout their postgraduate journey.

How to Use this Resource

GRAD has four sections:

  • Academic Selves
  • Personal Development
  • Navigating the System
  • Next Steps

These are broken down into parts with Part 1 of each section being most relevant to those starting the research postgraduate journey. You can work through the parts in order or you can jump straight to the information you need now.

Throughout this programme, you will gain valuable insights from supervisors and other postgraduate students across departments and disciplines. You can also quickly access information provided by faculty and professional staff in areas supporting postgraduates across SETU. GRAD complements existing support services available at the university and we will point you towards these throughout.
