The Department of Applied Science has launched its inaugural Achievement Awards, recognising outstanding academic performance across its programmes. The awards celebrate the students who achieved the highest GPA in their respective programmes during the 2025–26 academic year.

This will have a great impact for the students because they formally acknowledge students’ hard work, academic excellence and commitment, receiving an award can strengthen students’ belief in their abilities and encourage them to pursue ambitious goals as well as improve their CV and employability but the idea is also to encourage recipients, and other students, to maintain high academic standards.
This year’s award recipients are:
- Avisha Gautam, Pharmacy Technician
- Sophia Hislop, Bioscience with Biopharmaceutics
- Paulina Kielczykowska, Applied Microbiology
- Liam Brennan, Pharma and Drug Formulation
The recipients will be recognised at a special celebration attended by staff, family and friends on the 17th of septmeber
The Department hopes to make the Achievement Awards an annual celebration of student success.
