SETU's MPharm Development team won the bronze award in the category for 'Commitment to Sustainability, Health and Wellbeing'at the 2025 Pharmacy Excellence Awards at the Royal Dublin Convention Centre.
The annual event once again brought national attention to the remarkable work happening across the pharmacy sector. This year, the spotlight fell on the SETU's Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) development team, who were finalists in three categories, and gained a bronze award in the category of 'Commitment to Sustainability, Health, and Wellbeing'. The team's success highlights not only its expertise, but also its ongoing commitment to shaping the future of pharmacy education and practice.

In addition to their bronze award, the team was also a finalist in the categories of 'Pharmacist Contribution to the Community', and the 'Professional Excellence' awards. Each nomination recognised a different facet of their influence. In the category of ' Commitment to Sustainability, Health and Wellbeing' the judges recognised the team’s forward-thinking design of the MPharm curriculum. Their efforts will help bridge the gap between academic study and frontline patient care, ensuring students graduate with the confidence and competence required to deliver sustainable healthcare to all.
"The success of our MPharm Development Team at the 2025 Pharmacy Excellence Awards is extremely heartening. It's been an exciting year for the team as we prepare to welcome our first cohort of students in 2026. Recognition such as this award in sustainability, health, and wellbeing, is a testament to the commitment of the team.
Through our development programme we have been committed to ensuring sustainability principles and themes have been embedded across the MPharm in areas from science to practice. This reflects our teams ethos of shaping and supporting sustainable healthcare and SETU's commitment to shaping a sustainable future".
