Zétény Kovács is a student of BA (Hons) in Hospitality Management at SETU and thoroughly enjoyed his experience of university in Ireland.
An international student at SETU says he would highly recommend his experience as a student of Hospitality at SETU.
Zétény Kovács is a Hungarian native who attended the Győri SZC Krúdy Gyula Vocational School of Hospitality and Tourism in Hungary for five years. It was there that he earned his secondary school diploma and my qualification as a chef.
He is currently doing a degree in Hospitality Management at SETU and loves both the experience at the University, and in Ireland.
"There are far more opportunities with the degree I can earn here (in Ireland), and the training is much more advanced, which makes a big difference in achieving my goals. At SETU I had practice-focused education, knowledgeable, kind and supportive teachers, and wonderful classmates and friends. People are very open and friendly; you can easily start a conversation with anyone on the street or at the University," Zétény said.

While Zétény had a period of adjustment, moving from Hungary to Ireland, he believes it was the right decision to come and study at SETU.
"It was strange to be so far from my family, and it took a lot of work and sacrifice, but based on my experiences so far, it seems to have been worth it," he said.
Zétény has this advice for any international student considering applying to SETU:
"Go for it—don’t be afraid of the challenges. Problems are there to be solved."
