SETU is inviting students and staff to take part in SDG Awareness Week 2026, with events and activities taking place across campuses and communities throughout the South East from 19–30 September.
As part of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) Awareness Drive – Act Now for 2030 – the week offers opportunities for our university community to explore the SDGs, connect with sustainability initiatives and discover how we can all contribute to a more sustainable future.
Launching across SETU
SDG Awareness Week offers students and staff across SETU the opportunity to come together, explore sustainability and take action.
On Monday 21st September, the Sustainable Development Office will be joined by Healthy Campus to launch the event on the Waterford campus and on Tues 22nd we will also be joined by Carlow County Council on the Carlow Campus promoting circular economy options and cycling to and from campus
Sustainability in action across the South East
SDG Awareness Week includes a programme of events designed to encourage participation, raise awareness and inspire practical action. From clothes swaps and repair initiatives to sustainability activities on campus, and events across the region you can see the the many ways you can get involved and take action for the SDGs.
