The Admissions, Registration & Examinations (ARE) Helpdesk can help with many queries including:
- Process forms relating to the Department of Social Protection, Health Service Executive and USIT etc.
- Process student letter requests and proof of registration letters.
- Respond to queries with regard to Admission (CAO, Advanced Entry, Postgraduate), Registration, Repeat Learner and Examination timetables .
- Note: if your query is in relation to paying of fees, or account details, please refer to the Fees section of the website for the Fees office contact details.
SETU Cork Road Campus
The ARE Helpdesk is open on the Cork Road Campus Monday to Friday, 9.30-12.30 and 14.00-16.00 in the Student Services Building, next to the Students' Union.
SETU College Street Campus
At the College Street Campus the ARE Helpdesk is open Monday to Friday, 9.30-12.30pm and 14.00pm to 16.00pm, inside the main entrance.
If you need a Proof of Registration letter:
- Please e-mail [email protected].
- The letter will be e-mailed to your student email.
If you have a form to be stamped outside of ARE Helpdesk Hours:
- Ensure your full name and student number is enclosed with/written on the form.
- Put the form in the ARE Helpdesk post box located next to the Helpdesk in the Student Services Building, marked ARE Helpdesk Post box or the post box located inside the main entrance to College Street Campus.
- The form will be processed and posted back to your home address.
Note that you can also submit the form by post and it will be posted back to you, again please ensure to include your student number and return postal address.

Change of personal details
A student may apply to have their name, gender, date of birth or nationality changed by completing the Change Personal Details Application Form This form must be returned to the Admissions, Registration and Examinations Helpdesk, Student Services Building, Cork Road Campus with the originals of the student's supporting documentation for verification in addition to copies, which will be retained by the Helpdesk Registration team for processing. Should you need to make an appointment to discuss the Change of Personal Details Application form please contact [email protected] using Change Personal Details Application Form in the subject line.
Registered students can update their contact details such as home address, email, and telephone number by logging into their student portal or alternatively by contacting [email protected]

NOTE 1: Students can check view/update their contact details or consent information. Please note that should you change your postal address, all postal correspondence from the University will then be sent to this new address.

NOTE 2: Students are allocated a unique student email account. Your SETU student email account is your student [email protected] (i.e. [email protected]). Formal communications from the University Academic and Administration teams will be made via e-mail to the SETU Waterford Campus student email account only. Head to the Student Hub section of the website for more information and to reset your password.
NOTE 3: Regarding receipts, a receipt is issued by email on payment of fees online to the University.
