Each Innovation Voucher gives you €5,000 worth of time with an expert, third-level researcher to help you tease out an idea, develop a new product, or crack an important business or technical challenge. The Innovation Vouchers Initiative is open to all small (limited registered) companies (less than 250 employees) in Ireland.
For many companies this provides a great way of starting on the collaborative research ladder or undertaking a small research project. It also gives companies an opportunity to experience what can be achieved when working on research projects with others outside their company.

Vouchers can be exchanged for knowledge transfer projects from the knowledge provider. At SETU the vouchers can be used for time with an expert or researcher to help you develop an idea or product or crack a business or technical challenge. Co-funded vouchers are also available to cover project costs of up to €10,000, allowing a company to contribute 50% of the project costs. SMEs may avail of a maximum of four vouchers in total, (3 standard, 1 co-funded). Please note a company may have only one active voucher at a time.
