Yes. All students who are currently registered can download Office 365 to their own personal computers. Please wait 24 hours after registration before downloading Office 365 as a licence for Office 365 needs to be assigned to your account.
Yes. All current members of staff in SETU Waterford campus can download Office 365 to their own personal computers.
Your MS Office subscription is valid throughout your enrolment with SETU Waterford campus and expires upon graduation or leaving employment.
On leaving SETU you should make sure to transfer all your files from your SETU storage to your personal storage if you wish to have continued access to files created under this arrangement. All access to your SETU Waterford OneDrive storage will be lost once you have left SETU.
Office 365 can only be downloaded for Windows machines and Apple macintoshes (eg iMacs, MacBooks etc) from this site.
- Office 365 for iPhone/iPad – comes from the Apple App Store but is still covered under your SETU Waterford campus account.
- Office Mobile for Android - can be installed on tablets and phones that meet the following criteria: running Android KitKat 4.4 or later version and have an ARM-based or Intel x86 processor.
- Office apps for Chromebook - can be installed from the Google play store but still is covered under your SETU Waterford account. Click here for more information.

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Publisher, Outlook, and InfoPath
For Apple devices (MacBooks, iMacs):
Word, Excel PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook.
Access and Publisher are not available for Apple devices.
OneDrive is a Microsoft cloud storage (i.e. on the web) file hosting service that offers users a simple way to store, synch and share all kinds of files on the web which can be accessed later from another device or shared with other people. Make sure to uninstall any trial version of Microsoft Office from your machine before installing Office 365. Failure to uninstall any trial version of Microsoft Office will result in the system trying to activate the trial version and not our version of Office 365.
Also please ensure that all operating system updates are installed on your device before presenting at the IT Helpdesk with Office365 install issues. We will not be able to troubleshoot any Office365 issues unless your device has all its updates installed.

Each license allows you to run Office on up to five machines while your SETU Waterford campus account is still active; Mac or PC. You can also run Office Mobile for Android or Office Mobile for iPhone on up to 5 mobile devices.
Yes, this is the full Office for PCs, Macs, iPhones and Androids meeting the required criteria and all are available for offline use.
Access to download and run the software is a free service and is based on your membership of the SETU Waterford community, either as a member of staff or as a registered student. It is part of the overall Office 365 package which SETU Waterford campus has signed up to with Microsoft. SETU takes no responsibility for ensuring the successful download and installation of the software or the continued functionality of the product(s) or backup of any content.
Office 365 requires 3.0 GB free space on your local hard drive. Please be aware that if you are using a mobile data bundle to download this package that this may use up a good portion of your bundle depending on the plan that you are on. Where possible, you are better off to use a Wi-Fi connection or wired LAN connection for the download.
