The Certificate in Teaching and Assessment: Theory, Policy and Practice provides students from across a range of education sectors, including primary, post-primary, further and higher education, with a space to engage in discussion and critical reflection on issues related to teaching, learning and assessment (TLA). It supports the development of their reflective capacity and encourages them to apply this reflection to current discourses and developments in these key areas, enabling them to envision and articulate concrete changes they may implement in their professional practice beyond the module. The aim of the module is to equip students with the opportunities and skills to engage critically with core discourses and emerging developments in TLA, and to reflect on their implications for professional practice.
