The Certificate in Digital Marketing is a Level 7 programme designed to provide learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to plan, implement and evaluate digital marketing activities across a range of organisational settings.

Delivered on a part-time basis, the programme examines the key channels, tools and techniques used in contemporary digital marketing, including search marketing, social media, content creation and digital analytics. Learners develop an understanding of how digital marketing supports organisational objectives and customer engagement in an increasingly digital environment.

This programme provides a practical introduction to the principles and practice of digital marketing.

You will explore the development of digital marketing strategies and examine how organisations use digital channels to engage with customers and support business objectives. The programme considers the customer journey, customer research, audience profiling and customer relationship management within digital environments.

Learners will develop knowledge of key digital marketing channels, including search engine optimisation (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), social media marketing, email marketing and content marketing. You will examine how digital content is planned, created and managed, and how organisations use multiple channels to build visibility, engagement and customer relationships.

A significant focus is placed on measuring and evaluating marketing performance through digital analytics. The programme explores the use of data, key performance indicators (KPIs) and analytics tools to assess campaign effectiveness and support decision-making. Learners will also examine ethical, legal and social considerations in digital communications, including data protection and intellectual property.
