FAO Applicants Resident in Ireland: Springboard+ Funding
This course has been funded under the Irish Government’s ‘Springboard+’ programme, for more information on the fee structure please head to the Springboard+ website here. To be eligible you need to be:
- Resident in Ireland - either with a valid social welfare claim in place for unemployed people; or, for employed people, proof of having been resident here for 3 out of last 5 years.
- Non-EU Irish residents must have ‘Stamp 4’ residency immigration status or above in order to be eligible.
- Recent Graduates of full-time level 8 degree programmes are not eligible for Springboard+ funding for one year after graduation date but may apply as fee-paying students.
- The funding is not open to people who are not resident in Ireland. Please see further information on Springboard+ eligibility.
- The Springboard+ application closing date is Thursday, 16 July 2026.
Course Description
The programme seeks to produce thinking professionals as high calibre individuals, distinct in their abilities, understanding, skills and knowledge associated with talent management. Programme participants should aspire to develop a deeper knowledge of the HRM processes of talent management and of the key Talent Management issues affecting organisations, recognising the role of technology in this process.
Students will be exposed to core aspects of employment resourcing & talent planning, learning and development, performance management, strategic leadership and people & change and will have the opportunity to consolidate learning through an applied talent management work place project. Concepts of Talent Management and the Talent Analytics modules will equip graduates with knowledge skills and competencies in this crucial area. The Contemporary Issues in Talent Management module ensures that the programme remains at the forefront of evolving trends and challenges in talent management, addressing the dynamic needs of modern organisations.
Delivery
This is a blended programme with modules being delivered on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6pm until 9pm. Each semester Week 1, 6 and 12 will be in person on our Cork Road Campus in Waterford, other weeks will be on line both synchronous and asynchronous.

The minimum entry requirements for students to be accepted on the Higher Diploma in Business in Talent Management are:
- Applicants must hold a Level 8 degree in Business or a cognate area, or equivalent;
- Applicants who do not immediately meet the entry requirements on the basis of certified learning, but who have significant experience in the area and/or other certified learning, may be considered for entry under the SETU Recognition of Prior Learning Policy;
- Applicants must meet the SETU English Language Requirements.
