The Higher Diploma in Business in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion is a forward-thinking, part-time programme designed for professionals who want to be at the forefront of inclusive leadership and sustainable business transformation.
With EDI now recognised as a cornerstone of modern, ethical, and high-performing organisations, this Level 8 qualification empowers learners to take real action in embedding inclusive practices across sectors. Whether you're in HR, management, policy-making, or any role that influences organisational culture, this course equips you with the tools to lead with integrity and insight.
Over one intensive stage, students explore key themes including inclusive strategic HRM, innovation through diversity, ethical leadership, policy development, and Ireland’s legal framework for EDI. All modules are deeply practical, grounded in real-world case studies and assessed through coursework to encourage applied learning.
By the end of the programme, graduates emerge with the expertise to critically evaluate existing EDI strategies, influence policy, design inclusive interventions, and act as catalysts for change in their workplaces and industries.

Graduates with Level 8 qualifications. Other applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis through completion of the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). SETU reserves the right to require applicants to attend for an interview to determine their suitability for the programme.
Students will have full access to a range of supports available online and through Blackboard, our virtual learning environment. These include our new online programme, PACE, which is designed to support students to access and effectively use library resources in order to complete assignments. Additional supports include an Academic Writing Centre and Maths Support Centre, freely available to all students.
