The Faculty Research Ethics Committee (FREC) plays a central role in safeguarding the integrity, quality, and ethical standards of research conducted within the Faculty of Education and Lifelong Learning. The FREC provides oversight, ensuring that research projects are designed and carried out responsibly. By supporting researchers at every stage of the ethics process, the FREC promotes a culture of accountability and transparency across all scholarly activity.
The FREC works in conjunction with the central SETU Ethics Committee and can refer to it any research projects involving SETU students as participants and/or research deemed to pose more than a proportionate risk.
