Currently lectures across all the Nursing and Applied Healthcare undergraduate programmes and is Programme Lead for the Master's Programme in Professional Nursing in the Department of Nursing and Healthcare.
Qualified as registered general nurse as a mature student and worked for five years in the Emergency Department at University Hospital Waterford. Enjoyed a previous career as a commissioning editor in law and education publishing.
Currently supervising two PhD. candidates in the area of dementia care education and volunteering in nursing student education.
