Biography

Dr. Muhammad Shoaib is a Research Data Analytics and IT Systems Officer at South East Technological University (SETU), Ireland, where he supports institutional research strategy, digital transformation, and data-driven decision-making. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from University College Cork, with research focused on accessible and intelligent digital learning technologies for visually impaired learners.

Dr. Shoaib’s work sits at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction, Artificial Intelligence, and Digital Education, with a strong emphasis on accessibility, inclusion, and user-centred design. He has led the design and development of AI-driven mobile learning applications and has contributed to nationally and internationally funded research projects, including those supported by Science Foundation Ireland.

In addition to his current strategic role, Dr. Shoaib has extensive academic experience across Ireland, Europe, and Asia. He has held teaching and research positions at University College Cork, Griffith College, and Wenzhou-Kean University in China, delivering modules in areas such as Human-Computer Interaction, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Analytics. His international experience informs his commitment to cross-cultural education and global academic collaboration.

Dr. Shoaib has an established publication record in leading journals and conferences in accessibility, HCI, and educational technology. He is actively engaged in the academic community as a reviewer, conference contributor, and collaborator, and is committed to advancing inclusive and impactful digital innovation in higher education and society.
