Biography
Lecturer in Religious Studies in WIT since 2006. Teaches modules on the BA and BA Psychology programme and a module 'Cultural Practices' on the Applied Social Care programmes. Also teaches modules in ethics, critical thinking and an introduction to creative writing. Prior to working in WIT, worked full time in broadcast journalism with articles for national and regional newspapers and magazines. Produced a number of radio documentaries broadcast on stations including WLRfm and Newstalk 106-108. Winner of national radio awards for radio documentaries (PPI and New Adventures in Broadcasting). Runs Spokes poetry nights in Waterford City and is a co-producer of the Spokes podcast. Runner in the Patrick Kavanagh Poetry Award 2019. Poems published in many print and online publications.

Research interests - critical theory, religions, Jung, dreams, feminism.

Prior to that I worked at a number of positions in print and radio journalism including news reporter for Newstalk 106-108, news presenter and broadcast journalist at WLRfm and Tippfm, managing editor of a Dublin entertainment freesheet 'The Event Guide' and contributor to newspapers and magazines including the Irish Examiner, the Irish Times and Village Magazine.
