South East Technological University’s (SETU) brand clinched prestigious gold awards at the Transform Awards Europe 2024, held in London on 17 April. The collaborative efforts of SETU’s chosen brand agencies, Red Dog and MCCP, were honoured for their exceptional work across two categories: Best Corporate Rebrand following a Merger or Acquisition and Best Visual Identity from the Education Sector.

Upon receiving news of the win, SETU President, Prof Veronica Campbell said, "I’m delighted to hear that SETU’s brand was successful in receiving two gold awards at the 2024 Transform Awards. This speaks to the outstanding work of our team and partners at Red Dog and MCCP who worked tirelessly to bring our visionary brand to fruition. 

"This work began long before our official designation as South East Technological University in 2022, and has continued as the brand has developed and fully come to life in its new era. It is a proud moment to see our rebranding objectives realised, solidifying our position as a leading Irish technological university. This award is a testament to our commitment to delivering outstanding education and making a meaningful impact worldwide.”

Prof Campbell continued, “I want acknowledge the outstanding work undertaken by our team to achieve the success of the university’s new visual identity, particularly the work of Dr John Power, who has been at the helm of our organisation’s rebrand from the beginning. Last night’s ceremony brought together the most exciting brands and organisations from across Europe’s business and education sectors. Representing SETU at the event, Dr John Power, Brand Manager, said, “It is a privilege to witness our brand’s recognition on this esteemed platform. This accolade is a testament to our commitment to excellence and innovation in higher education.”

He continued, “Our aim was to create a brand that embodies SETU’s excellence in delivering higher education in Ireland and globally. We wanted the brand to demonstrate the university’s core values and to serve as a true reflection of its identity. With successful launches both domestically and internationally, SETU's brand now resonates globally. Sincere thanks to our colleagues at Red Dog and MCCP, who’s work supported us in creating a robust rebrand for SETU, generating the success story we have today.” 

Commenting on the success of SETU’s rebrand and its recognition, Mary Doherty, Managing Director at Red Dog added, “It is a great honour to receive a two gold Transform Awards Europe for our work with South East Technological University. Europe’s only celebration of rebranding
