There was a vibrant atmosphere at SETU’s Summer Activity Camps in Carlow as children from across the south east region came together to take part.
The activity camps were held at SETU’s campus in Carlow, where a variety of exciting events were run using the University’s state of the art facilities.
Promoting creativity and growth
During the camps, children came together to have fun and keep fit. The annual event provides participants with the opportunity to branch out and try new things like developing new skills and channelling their creativity through arts and crafts.
Another incredible year of Summer Activity Camps has ended, and we are delighted with the success of the programme. Community outreach is a vital part of the work we do at SETU’s Sports Department, and there is nothing more rewarding than seeing children leave each day with smiles on their faces. Through a variety of fun activities, participants had the chance to build their confidence, meet new friends, and create memories that will stay with them for years to come.

Fun in the sun
SETU offered an action-packed schedule of indoor and outdoor activities for the children, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy.
One of the many highlights from the camps, was the warm weather in the sunny south east region. The sun allowed participants to have fun on a water slide and compete in a water obstacle course, followed by a water gun game.
Creating an engaging experience
The camps were facilitated by SETU staff, students, and graduates who are committed to providing a fun and engaging experience for children from around Carlow and the surrounding counties during their summer break.
