Earlier this year students from Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Business Information Systems (BIS), visited Google’s Headquarters in Ireland at the Boland’s Mills offices in Dublin.
The former flour mill has been recently completely renovated and modernised to serve as a collaborative space and the new engineering hub for Google staff in Dublin.

Workshops
The BIS students worked with Lee Rock, Tech Lead, Asma Elj, Senior Generative AI Analyst, Mariya Zhabska, Engineering Quality Analyst and Chris Sze Kit Wong, Publisher Quality Analyst, in an ideation and proof of concept workshop for Google products.
Each team of students had to present and explain their proposals and critiques to the Google staff during the workshops.
“It was a memorable day and one that has left a lasting impression on our students as they start out on their careers. These are the kinds of days that instil self-belief and inspire BIS students to pursue greatness,” said Dr Aidan Duane, Programme Director for the Bachelor of BIS at SETU.
