SETU has announced the launch of SETU PERSPECTA, a new student engagement initiative designed to platform the student voice and enhance overall student experience across the University.
The launch of PERSPECTA represents a significant step in shaping the culture and development of SETU as a vibrant, future-focused, and evolving university.
PERSPECTA will bring together a diverse group of students from across all campuses to share feedback on key aspects of student life. The initiative aims to ensure that the lived experience of students directly informs decision-making, service development, and future planning at SETU.

Working in partnership with the Students’ Union, SETU will engage with the PERSPECTA group throughout the academic year, from September to June, on a range of topics relevant to the student experience.

For the Students’ Union, PERSPECTA can directly inform our work as it delves into the real-life experience of students in our region, and country, today. Learnings from the initiative will be extremely helpful to us in serving our university community.”

Participation in PERSPECTA is voluntary, with students invited to join the group on an annual basis. Each year, approximately 100 students will be selected to ensure broad representation of SETU’s diverse student community.
Engagement with the PERSPECTA group will be flexible and designed to fit around students’ schedules. Feedback will be gathered through short online surveys, as well as facilitated focus groups. Focus groups will be held on each campus, with online options available for remote learners. The total time commitment for students is expected to be no more than 10–12 hours over the course of the academic year.
By placing student voices at the centre of its decision-making, SETU PERSPECTA reflects the University’s commitment to partnership, inclusion, and continuous improvement, ensuring that students help shape the future of SETU from the ground up.
