Over 90 graduates from SETU were conferred with academic awards at a special ceremony held at the National Opera House in Wexford town.

The event marked a day of celebration for graduates who completed their studies at SETU’s Summerhill Road Campus. It was an important day not only for graduates, but for their families, friends, and the wider SETU community to acknowledge academic excellence across 20 diverse programmes of study.

Presiding over the conferring ceremony were Professor Patrick Prendergast, Pro-Chancellor and Chair of SETU’s Governing Body; Dr Patricia Mulcahy, Pro-President and SETU’s Vice President for Global Partnerships; and Dr Karen Hennessey, SETU Head of Campus in Wexford.

Graduates received awards across disciplines including art, visual communications and design, early childhood education, tourism and event management, digital media, business, and sustainable farm management.

“It is a privilege to be here in Wexford’s National Opera House to celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates. We at SETU want to acknowledge the extraordinary commitment you have shown during your time at the University.”

“Today is a celebration of your dedication and development throughout your academic careers. Each of you has shown great resilience and ambition to achieve success. You are now part of a growing community of SETU alumni who contribute to our region and beyond.”

This year, SETU celebrated the achievements of over 3,600 graduates in ceremonies across its campuses in Waterford, Carlow, and Wexford.
