A group of scholars from Wolaita Sodo University (WSU) in Ethiopia have just completed a three month visit to SETU Carlow as part of a Horizon 2020 Project: ‘Building Resilience Through Education (BRTE)’. BRTE is partnership project between WSU, UCD, SETU and Concern, with the aim of finding innovative ways to strengthen the resilience of communities affected by recurring disaster.

The group of visiting scholars from WSU have been working alongside the Computing Services Department at SETU Carlow to share knowledge and learn new technical skills. The partnership between WSU and SETU aims to assist WSU to build a resilient ICT infrastructure to enhance the teaching, learning and research activities of the university and digitalise its business processes.
