Mags Cremen is currently studying the Master of Science Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology at South East Technological University. She is also a Sports Scholarship student at SETU.
SETU has extended hearty congratulations to Mags Cremen, following her phenomenal success at the World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam over the weekend.
Cork native Mags, a Sports Scholarship student at SETU who is currently studying the Master of Science Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology at the University, won a gold medal for Ireland alongside her Women’s Double Sculls partner Zoe Hyde in the final on Friday.
The pair, who were rowing in lane one, clocked 6:43.48 as they got the better of the Netherlands and crossed the finish line in first place.
Mags then went on to win Silver alongside Konan Pazzaia in the Mixed Double Sculls on Sunday after edging past the USA to come second.
Everyone at SETU is incredibly proud of Mags and this outstanding achievement. To come away from the World Rowing Championships with both a gold and silver medal is a phenomenal accomplishment and reflects the commitment, resilience and professionalism she brings to both her sport and her studies.

It was, overall, a huge success for Ireland at the World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam, with Galway native Fiona Murtagh winning a silver medal in the Women’s Single Sculls.
