Try Software Development and Sports Science gives students the opportunity to experience university learning through a hands-on exploration of biomechanics, human performance and computing. This event will allow attendees to explore SETU's new undergraduate programme, the BSc (Hons) in Software Development and Sports Science.
Students will step into our Sports Science Biomechanics Lab, where they will use specialist equipment and technology to measure human movement and performance. They’ll collect real data and explore what it can tell us about how the human body moves and performs.
From there, students will take their data into our Computing Labs, where they’ll discover how software and data analysis can be used to make sense of the information collected in the biomechanics lab.
This interactive experience will show students how Sports Science and Software Development work together and how technology is being used to measure, analyse and improve human performance.
No previous experience in computing or sports science is required - just bring your curiosity and be ready to get hands-on!
Come along, collect the data, analyse the results and discover how technology can unlock the science of human performance.
The event is aimed at transition year, fifth and sixth year students. Places are limited and booking is required to attend. Booking opening soon.
