Labour Market Relevance (Skills Development)

The Certificate in High Voltage Safe Systems of Work is a 10-credit micro-credential derived from a broader 60-credit Certificate in High Voltage Electrical Systems. It has been designed to equip learners with industry-relevant, applied skills in high voltage safety, compliance, and operational practice, while also offering a flexible, stackable pathway for further learning. The programme develops practical competencies in Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), safe switching procedures, and the application of recognised standards (EN 61936 and IS EN 50110). Emphasis is placed on real-world scenarios, enabling learners to apply knowledge directly in workplace settings. These skills are critical to ensuring safe operation, regulatory compliance, and efficiency across electrical, construction, utilities, and energy sectors.
