The Certificate in Environmental Sustainability in Education supports participants to develop practical and actionable approaches for addressing sustainability in schools. It will equip participants with the skills to develop and implement sustainability policies and initiatives, and to connect these local initiatives with the global movement for sustainability.

Applicants are required to have an Honours Degree (Level 8) or equivalent and be working within an educational setting.
On successful completion of this Minor Award, graduates may choose to complete the MA in Management in Education at SETU.
The qualification will assist graduates to progress in their career as leaders and champions of environmental sustainability in education. It will also equip them with the skills to apply critical and systems thinking to complex sustainability challenges, influence and implement policy and practice change, and lead co-creation initiatives that engage diverse stakeholders. Graduates will be able to integrate global frameworks such as the SDGs, GreenComp, and the Inner Development Goals into their teaching and institutional practice, while promoting transformative learning and social justice. In doing so, they will enhance their career prospects not only as educators, but also as advocates, strategists, and change-makers in the wider sustainability movement
