The Careers Development Centre for Carlow and Wexford campuses is based in the Barrow Centre on the SETU Carlow campus (beside the Student’s Union), with an outreach point on the Wexford campus at pre-arranged times. Students are welcome to drop by with a quick query, to view resources, or to make an appointment.
One-to-one Appointments
You can make individual appointments for a mock interview or to talk about your career path by emailing [email protected] An appointment can be either in-person or online through your MS Teams account.
Please note that queries about work placement or your academic studies should be directed to the faculty office.
CV Workshops
CV workshops are held weekly on a Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Careers Office in the Barrow Centre, Carlow during term time.
Students can request their own group workshop on a careers-related topic for up to 10 people through a class rep (outside of class time) by emailing [email protected].
CV Review
You can avail of CV templates and other CV resources on Blackboard, ‘Careers Services’. You will also receive class presentations on CV and Interview Tips, and you can take part in the weekly CV workshop during term time. If you still wish your CV to be reviewed by a Careers Adviser, email [email protected].
Job Opportunities
SETU Carlow and Wexford campuses often receive job or placement opportunities from employers for both SETU students, and graduates. These are posted on both the SETU website and on the LinkedIn private page ‘Job Alerts for SETU Carlow & Wexford Students & Grads’. (request to join).
