South East Technological University (SETU) is inviting expressions of interest from external candidates to join its Governing Body. SETU welcomes applications from suitably qualified individuals who are committed to contributing to the development of the university and the wider region in this important role.
SETU is a regional university with campuses in Carlow, Waterford, Wexford, Wicklow and Kilkenny, serving more than 18,000 learners and employing 1,600 staff. Each year, the university confers degrees on over 4,000 graduates. A defining characteristic of SETU is its strong and sustained collaboration with industry, enterprise, and civic society across the region and beyond, both nationally and internationally.
Members of the Governing Body play a vital role in shaping the university’s direction, strategy, and corporate governance. Strong independent judgement and objective oversight are essential in supporting SETU’s continued development. SETU is committed to ensuring that its Governing Body reflects a diversity of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences.
