Welcome to SETU's Foundation Day 2024 - 'Connecting for Sustainability' Conference. This is one in a series of conferences to mark the second anniversary of South East Technological University's establishment on 1 May 2022. Each conference explores a specific theme from our strategic plan: 'Connecting for Impact - 2023 - 2028'.
The 'Connecting for Sustainability’ Conference looks at sustainable practices and innovations with a particular focus on the role of offshore renewable energy in meeting the emissions targets set out in Ireland’s Climate Action Plan 2024. The conference will consider the theme of sustainability through the lens of the Climate Action Plan and the opportunities and challenges, this industry holds for the south east region.
Keynote speaker for this conference is Oonagh Buckley, Secretary General DECC.
