Office for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

To support this endeavor, SETU has established the Office for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, led by the Vice-President for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, Dr. Allison Kenneally. This office is responsible for leading, devising and implementing EDI policies, strategies and actions in line with national and sectoral imperatives, legislative requirements, and best practice internationally.

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Committee

SETU has established a Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Committee of Governing Body, which affirms SETU’s commitment to the promotion of equality for staff and students in all aspects of its activity. The EDI Committee leads and supports the implementation of various policies, procedures and practices which create a positive working and study environment for all. 

 

Implementation of the Consent Framework (ICF) Working Group

SETU's ICF Working Group oversees the implementation of the Framework for Consent in HEIs; Safe, Respectful, Supportive and Positive: Ending Sexual Harassment in Irish Higher Education Institutions. Membership comprises of key stakeholders including academics, student support services, EDI, the Student’s Union, HR and external specialist agencies. The vision of the Framework is to ensure an institutional campus culture which is safe, respectful and supportive.  

 

Ending Sexual Violence, Prevention and Support (ESP) Committee

SETU’s ESP Committee oversees the implementation of the Framework for Consent in HEIs; Safe, Respectful, Supportive and Positive: Ending Sexual Harassment in Irish Higher Education Institutions. Membership comprises of key stakeholders including academics, student support services, EDI, the Student’s Union, HR and external specialist agencies.
