Overview

The Certificate in Tort Law 2 aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the general principles of tort law by examining the various forms of liability attaching to the main torts; the principles
upon which liability is based in such areas as negligence, nuisance, liability for escapes, trespass and defamation; the relationship between common law, legislation and judicial policy. This module also aims to contribute to the development of the students skills in legal analysis and problem-solving as well as research and reasoning skills.
This programme is a module from our Law degree programme, offered as a standalone certificate for students who are interested in gaining a recognised qualification in this discipline.
PLEASE NOTE: Certificate in Tort Law 1 must be completed before taking Tort Law 2

Entry Requirements

All applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Lifelong Learning reserves the right to require applicants to attend for an interview to determine their suitability for the course.
