Overview

The Certificate in Tort Law 1 aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the general principles of tort law by examining the various forms of liability attaching to the tort of negligence, the
relationship between common law, legislation and judicial policy. This Certificate also aims to contribute to the development of the student's skills in legal analysis and problem solving as well as research and reasoning skills.
This programme is a module from our Law degree programme offered as a standalone certificate for students who are interested in gaining a recognised qualification in this discipline.
Students with an interest in this area should progress to the Certificate in Tort Law 2 on successful completion of this module.

Entry Requirements

All applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Lifelong Learning reserves the right to require applicants to attend for an interview to determine their suitability for the course.
