Change is constant. Yet the methods managers have used in their attempt to transform their companies into stronger competitors such as total quality management, re-engineering, right-sizing, restructuring and cultural change can work only if these processes are lead effectively. Therefore this module focuses on the role of leadership plays in bringing about organisational change and development.

The module is structured and delivered to ensure that the students understand the theoretical underpinning of change strategies as well as ability to diagnose forces of and barriers to change and to exercise practical applications of change interventions.

The aim of this module is to develop the student's awareness of forces of change, the typical barriers to change that exist in organisations and of the variety of strategies that can be employed to diagnose and manage change.
