Overview
This exciting and innovative programme provides an opportunity for FÁS or equivalent graduates of all trades disciplines to study for a BSc in Management (Craft). The programme will provide a range of practical business and management skills as well as the skills development of the student in their own professional craft. The programme will broaden and deepen the understanding and competence of the qualified craftsperson through the development of a reflective practice mindset in the student. The programme will be offered by a combination of web-based learning modules backed up by tutorial sessions and traditional classroom-based lectures. There will also be a work-based learning project in which the student will get the opportunity to implement the theory into the workplace.
SETU has funding for 25 places on the Bachelor of Science Management (Multi-craft Technology) for the 2023/24 academic year. The Human Capital Initiative (HCI) Pillar 1 offers free and discounted full-time and part-time courses in areas such as ICT and Data Analytics, Engineering, Manufacturing and Construction.
Entry Requirements
Applicants require an NFQ Level 6 Award, or equivalent, for entry to this programme. All applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Lifelong Learning reserves the right to require applicants to attend for an interview to determine their suitability for the programme.
